Here is my first blog post ever. :) I’ve just spent the past two months redesigning crazydreamsound.com. I wanted to change the focus to Audio Plays. Aifen and I have been working on this audio play idea for almost a year now. This past summer we found the play and hired two great actors to play the roles. I was really happy with the way the whole rehearsal and production went. But discovered doing the sound design for something that has no visual aspect is a lot more difficult then I first thought. It was challenging, but very exciting to create. We added music and mixed it the same way I would have mixed a film. Instead of breaking it down in reels I broke it down in scenes. I spent about a week mixing.
We then sent it out to get the CD pressed. Aifen and I decided to take a two week vacation, and went up to Oregon. That’s when the stoke market fell apart and the economy too a real dump. Great! Here we are starting this new business and the economy decides it’s time to fall apart. So, the actual sales are very slow. This was not at all what we expected. Here we are with what I think is an amazing product and a very slow economy, but we aren’t giving up. I enjoyed the process too much to give up. I still think there is a market for our Audio Plays, and I really have this hope that people will discover the redeemer.
