Happy Holiday! My seventh sound design this season, the production from A Traveling Jewish Theatre - the Chosen, will be shown from 1/15-3/2, 2003 in San Francisco & Berkeley. Exiciting multimedia design with video and sound are included in the production (December 30, 2002).

While researching the Jewish culture, Judism religous, and Holocaust history for my sound design, we watched seven very good films: The Chosen, The Quarrel, A Price Above Rubies, Left Luggage, Solomon & Gaenor, Sunshine, and The Man Who Cried. Another year of great Winter Color Guard Competition sound edits have been completed for the James Logan High School, San Jose Raiders, and Concord Blue Devils. I wish them good luck for the World Championship competition in April 2003 (December 13, 2002).

My sixth sound design this season "A Christmas Carol" will be shown at the Center Repertory Walnut Creek on December 5. This is my fifth season working on this exciting holiday show, and it gets better every year (November 22, 2002).

Research is very important part of my design process. I started reading and searching materials relating to the World War II, Jewish culture in different era, Holocaust, Yiddish, Hasidic, Kabbalah, and so on. A Traveling Jewish Theatre will present the Bay Area premiere and the stage adaptation of Chaim Potok's novel "The Chosen", opening mid January 2003 (November 10, 2002).

Which is more important, ambition or freedom? My fifth design for the 2002 Season is "Holiday" by Philip Barry for the Napa Valley Repertory Theatre (November 10, 2002).

I have been qualified to distribute SFX software and will be dealing my complete theatre show control system in the Northern California (November 5, 2002).

The Video/DVD of my last feature film "The Homeboy" is out now. This means ALL of my feature films are in distributions so far. The films "Park Day" and "Dumbarton Bridge" were shown on the cable channels as well as rental in the Blockbuster. (November 4, 2002)

Napa Valley Repertory Theatre has invited me to be their company member. It is my dream to be involved with the rising theatre group like them. I am considered for the Technical Director position and hope to move to Napa Valley in the near future (November 2, 2002).

I am working on the sound design for the musical "Wonderful Town". The show opens November 12 at the Marin Theater Company. (October 24, 2002)

The Napa Valley Repertory Theatre will present my favorite sound design "The Woman in Black" from 10/18-11/3. (August 30, 2002)

The first of the "Words & Music" series is scheduled on 9/9 at the Marin Theater Company. My creative sound edit will be presented with the photography to help demonstrate the use of words and music with our culture - American Immagrants. This event will introduce the the award-winning new drama, The Music Lesson, will be shown from 9/5-10/6. (August 9, 2002)

It is my pleasure to be involved with the ACT Young Conservatory World Premiere new playwright production Dust, by Sarah Daniels. It is a complicated design. The show is scheduled 8/22-9/1. (August 9, 2002)

I am excited to help out on the sound design for Maxis on thier new SimCity. (July 24, 2002)

My sound design for The Music Lesson (Marin Theater Company) is almost completed. It is going to be a terrific experience for people who love theater. (July 13, 2002)

Two for the Seesaw opened last week with good reviews. My original Jazz music composition inspired the actors as well as the audience. I've already started work on next season at Marin Theater Company. My first show will be The Music Lesson opening in September. (May 27, 2002)

I've just started work on "Two for the Seesaw" at Marin Theater Company, which will be opening on May 20th. It will be the first time my design runs by the SFX playback system. My new studio is now up and running. It's always fun to play with new toys. (March, 2002)

I haven't been on top of my updates. Been busy in the studio, but a lot has been happening. I'm opening a new sound design suite with new equipment WaveFrame's FrameWorks DX, Tascam's DM-24 digital Mixer, and Doremi's digital video playback, also adding to the studio a Lawson L251 tube mic, a Neve Mic Pre, HHB Mic Pre's, and a TC Electronic Triple C. For live Theater I picked up Stage Research's SFX playback system. The Homeboy has now been picked up. So far, every feature I've been sound designer for has gotten distribution. Not too bad. I've been working on Lady in the Dark at the Marin Theater Company. It's opening 11/13/2001. It's being billed as a to see musical. Great cast, great directors and great designers will make this musical an enjoyable experience for the audience. See it if you have a chance. (October, 2001)

Moving Bodies was a success and one of my most enjoyable experience in theater. (September, 2001)

We just had our first rehearsal for Moving Bodies. It looks like it's going to be a complicated technical play, which means that I'm really going to enjoy the sound design for it. Using sound as a element in telling the story and keeping the story moving. 9/4/2001

I'm working on a Marin Theater Company's Production of Moving Bodies a play about Richard Feynman. It will open Oct.1st. (August, 2001)

Nine Pound Grind will be going into the studio again to finish up their basic tracks. (April, 2001)

On April 16th I won the San Francisco's Bay Area Critics Circle Award for my sound design on The Woman in Black at the Marin Theater Company. (April, 2001)
